Professional Teeth Whitening Methods
If you want professional teeth whitening, that really is your best opportunity. Going to the dentist and paying for the whitening treatments can get expensive, which is why it turns off most people. But if you have the spare cash, getting professional teeth whitening from the dentist is the fastest and longest lasting whitening treatment you can get.
When you go to the dentist for a professional whitening, you will most likely receive a laser whitening treatment. This is when they use special “lasers” to clean your teeth. They start off by doing a fairly regular cleaning like you get at the dentist to get rid of plaque and build up. Then they put a special peroxide based gel on your teeth and use a very bright radiant light that reacts with the gel, bleaching your teeth.
The whole process only takes about an hour and it can make your teeth up to 10 shades whiter. The results won’t go away, and your teeth will stay white for a long time too. However, the cost of such a procedure can range up to $2,000. It is a great treatment if you can afford it though.
There is a newer treatment called “blue light teeth whitening” or “light activated teeth whitening” that is similar to professional laser whitening. It is usually smaller scale, but still works well (see my other posts for more info).
Of course, you don’t need to go to a dentist to get professional teeth whitening. There are many at home teeth whitening products that can give you professional looking results. My current favorite product is “Dazzle White Pro.” They make gel-pens that you use to rub gel onto your teeth. The results are fast and look great, and it doesn’t taste too bad either.
